new layout

Hi everyone,
I just finished this layout this morning and wanted to share with you all. I hope you all like it. Lately I have been working on holiday layouts. I guess because of the holidays. This is another one of Fall. The little boy is playing with the fallen leaves. I cut the leaves from the paper doll cartridge in several sizes and with different patterned papers. the trees are also made with the different patterned papers. I usually do not use the same line of paper on my layouts. Ilike to ix and match. I hope you all like it.

Anniversary gift

Hello everyone,
I just got my anniversary gift. My anniversary is on October 31, yes, Halloween day. We were married on that special day. We both love the holiday so decided that was good day for us to marry. Well back to the gift. He got me a new computer. Not just a computer but the apple wireless 21.5 inch. It is so cool, now I just have to learn how to use this baby. It is so nice and big. One of the best things is that the keyboard and the mouse are both wireless, and no cords. Only the one to the power and the one for the internet. I hate seeing all those cords. I will post pictures once I learn how to use it. I will be getting my first training on tuesday November 2nd. Can't wait. Well this is all for now, I know boring but I will be posting soon and have pictures. I have a new layout but need to glue everything down. Once I have it all done I will post the pictures.

Latest layout

Hello my blogger friends,

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. I have been sick fighting a really bad cold. I would not doubt I have bronchitis. But I did want to share my latest layout. I saw this picture in a calendar and knew I just had to do a layout like it. The calendar is just the boy, a girl and the sled. I added the house and trees to it. It reminded me of when you go to pick out your christmas tree. I hand drew and pieced each piece. The trees are from the Christmas layout I did last year. And the house my hubby helped me put it together. The paper on the matts is from DCWV paper stack from last year.

I hope you all like it. I will be back with new ones this week, well one new one that I plan on starting tomorrow.

Weekend Update.

Well I have so many things to share that happened this weekend. First of all I want to say that I said Good bye to my Imagine. After playing with it a couple of times and watching some videos, I just did not think it was for me. Secondly, I went to the Scrap Expo but was not impressed. I only spent 50.00 which $ 8.00 was the entrance fee. I could not believe how small it was. Was not worth the drive and time. Thirdly, The Scrapping In Pink event was a great success. I had a really great time. I was able to meet so many girls that also have the same passion that I do, PLAYING WITH PAPER. The event was for 12 hours and was for a wonderful cause, Breast Cancer. Eni was the host and she did a wonderful job putting it together. Thanks Eni for a great event.
And lastly, Sunday after cleaning and doing things around the house, I can't believe that Teri from Teri Beri's creations came to visit. I was honored to meet her about a week ago when a bunch of ladies got together to shop at a near by store. If you have not gone to this website do so and if you are from Miami call and visit his warehouse. He has tons of goodies. OK, so back to Teri. Yesterday she came over with her cutie little son and brought me the famous banner. I saw her banner on her blog and contacted her to give me the recipe. She called me that evening, we spoke for about an hour and told me about a challenge giving one away. I did not win the challenge and was bummed out so she surprised me with it yesterday. How sweet. I will be putting it together this week and putting it up in my room. It is definitely going to be a great addition to my room. The banner is beautiful and I hope you are all jealous. Thank you Teri for such a great surprise and gift. Hopefully we can have some more encounters creating together.
As you can see I had a great weekend and wanted to share with you all the fun.

New layout

hello everyone,

I wanted to share my latest layout. I have to say that it is not my typical kind of layouts. I am not used to this type of work. It was a big challenge for me.

It took me 3 days to finish it. The christmas tree is all hand cut and hand pieced. It has rhinestones in red, green and clear, a bead garland and bows. The star is stickled and glazed. The window has sewed curtains. I put a transparency to give it a glass effect. Threw the window you can see the snowflakes and snow. I put a garland on the top of the window made of the beads and fiber and 3 tiny flowers. The bows make it seem like they are holding the curtain open but they have a hand sewed stitch to hold them back. The gifts are a square punch in 2 different sizes and then I covered them with bows and a charm. The little girls dress is a red/burgandy fabric with lace around her waist and the bottom, then a bow. Her hair has 3 mini roses on it. She is holding her bear which is also hand cut and pieced. The fireplace is cut with the cricut. I made the fire with a shiny orange paper, it looks in person as if the fire was really lit. I made the stockings out of fabric. There is also a garland on the top made with beads and a fiber. Same as the one over the window. I also added the tiny flowers to it. The santa clauses are a rub on which I put on regular cardstock and then I cut around them. The layout holds 3 matts, one is on the layout and the other 2 are behind the fireplace and behind the window.

I really enjoyed making this layout. I was very time consuming but was well worth it after it is all said and done.

Please leave a comment. The comments will inspire me to want to do more.

Shopping at Scrapyland

This is my second post for the day. I just wanted to let you in on an online store that I was told about my Teri from Teri Beri's creations. It is an online store but also sells to local scrapbookers since there are no local stores in this area anymore. All stores besides Michaels and Joanns have closed down. You can google his store and call him (Dani) if you are a local. He will open to you to shop. He will be moving in the next week or 2 to a 6000 square feet warehouse. He is thinking about having some classes.
Ten of us got together yesterday to meet each other, we have all met through U-tube, shop and then have lunch. It is funny how we are all crafters, yet all 10 of us do something different. We had such a blast and shopped and laughed and then went to the Olive Garden for lunch.

I am glad that I met all the girls and hope that we can continue doing this atleast once a month. Thanks to Teri for inviting me and making me a part of this great shopping haul.

The picture above shows most of the things I purchased. I bought 5 cricut cartridges, the pink tape glider, a distress it all machine, 4 bottles of liquid pearls, 2 packs of paper from Cosmo Cricket, about 25 bottles of sitckles (did not picture them all) and a tool to pick up rhinestones or small objects. And 4 flower soft containers. I think I mentioned it all.

Charity event

Hello everyone,

If you are not yet aware Eni will be hosting a charity event this weekend for Breast Cancer. If you are in the Miami area and would like to attend this great event go to her blog, the link is on my side bar (fabulous friends). I made this frame for her to auction off. My husband will be putting a black frame around it to finish it off. It is for Halloween. All proceeds will be donated.

Class at The Paper Niche

Well, I want everyone to know that I had a great class. All the women were wonderful, but one really stood out. She was funny. I had never met any of these women, yesterday was the first time. Also the first time teaching at the store. If you have not been to the website, I encourage you to. This store is incredible. They have everything and anything. The store owner really goes out of her way to have the latest and most fabulous trinkets you could ever see. You will literally be in the store for hours looking at everything. She not only has scrapbooking stuff, but stuff for the house and jewelry and you name it she has it. But unless you go in person you won't know what I am talking about. I will be going next week just to shop. I need atleast 3 to 4 hours to shop and go crazy.

Here is a picture of some things she has on a huge round glass table, called the candy station. It literally looks like a candy station. All items are in glass bowls and cups and some are in those pretty glass vases. It has lose rhinestones, brads, eyelets, butterflies, dew drops, all types of flowers, from flat ones, to roses in all sizes and colors even the ones on stems. That candy station is to die for. LOVE IT. I want one of those in my house.

The flowers were 2 for $1.00 they measure about 2 1/2 inches, the butterflies were 4 for $1.00 the little stems with the beeds were 5 for $1.00. And I did not go through everything. I am going back as I said to get some more goodies.

Go check it out the store, you will not be disappointed.

Dolphins cheerleaders layout

Hello everyone, I just finished this layout. I have to turn it in tomorrow at the paper niche to the owner and decide when to teach it. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did piecing it. I am not a Dolphin fan at all, but living in Miami this is what people would want to see.

Just got done with this layout. I have loved the Pittsburgh Steelers since I was a little girl. Don't really know why, maybe because of the color yellow in the uniforms, since my favorite color is yellow. Or maybe because they have always had a rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys and to go against my youngest brother I went for them. Who knows. All I know is that they have been my favorite team since I was about 12. A long time ago.

You would think my favorite color is PINK, but no it is YELLOW. I wanted my scraproom yellow but I could not find pretty baskets, containers or cute things in Yellow for the room so I decided to go with my next favorite PINK. The Green just matched nice with the Pink. I did paint the walls Yellow. They are a very pail Yellow. My husband picked out the color.

I will post pictures of my room maybe tomorrow. Right now I am off to play with my IMAGINE. Don't know if I like it yet. I still need more time with it.

Imagine Is In The House

Woo Hoo,

Just received my Imagine at about 5:30 pm yesterday. I was so excited to get this Baby. I had been waiting for it all day. I know it would be coming in today from the tracking info. Well this machine is big. Don't know where I will be putting it but I have to say later to my red expression since it is not being used. I have the white one and the red one. I just had to have the red when walmart came out with it last year on black friday. I have only truned it on 3 or 4 times. It looks so pretty where it is at but it is time to make room for the new one.

I did calibrate it with no problems and printed the first image. the ink is kind of dull but maybe it is because of the colors that the image was cut with. I had my husband play with it while I went to Office Max to pick up something. He was able to print the image large. I did have a hard time looking at the screen. Some of the letters and numbers are really tiny. Like the gypsy. Which by the way just sits in my room collecting dust. Not what I plan to do with the Imagine. I printed an image but when I went printed the layered pieces they were not the same size as the main image. Also when it cut the first row on the matt the cuts were perfect, but on the second row it was off. I did email a lady that has loaded some videos on her blog and I am hoping she will contact me to help me. She even had a video yesterday that showed how glossy accents, embossing powder and the heat gun did not smear the ink. She loved the way the images came out and how well the ink held up the heat from the heat gun.

If anyone has played with their imagine and could help, please contact me. I would love to get some help. Calling Circut is a nightmare.

OK, off to play some more.

made a booboo

The websites are and, soory for the mix up. You should all head on over to their blogs. They both do amazing projects, cards and scrap pages. I hope they inspire you as much as they have inspired me.

satrudays challenge

OK, as you will all know I did not finish all the challenges. I did do 6 of the 8 challenges. I am proud of myself because I had never done this before. I am not a card maker nor do I know anything about bloggin. As you can see my blog is a mess right now. I can't get to fix it. I did call a dear friend to help me with entering my projects. Thanks you, thank you and thank you "T". You know who you are.

I think I did a pretty good job with the challenges. Atleast, I hope. I did not do the last 2 because my poor husband was waiting all day for us to hang out together. We are always together and I mean always. On saturdays we go out to breakfast and then head out to the Garage Sales. I love them. My mother got all of us girls addicted to it and now my husband is part of the addiction. We even take our dog Roscoe with us. He is such a cutie. He feels so important because everyone that sees him pets him. He is a orange, redish, blonde Golden Retriever.

I leave you with a picture of the 6 challenges that I entered. I hope you all like them.

Well I hope for all those who entered had the same amount of fun that I did.
Thank you to Cristina at www.creationswithcristina. com, also thank you to Teri at, and to all of the companies and people who made incredible donations for the prizes.

challenge # 6

Challenge # 6 had to be the hardest one for me. My favorite colors are the fall colors but for some reason I found this challenge to be very challenging. LOL. We had to make a card with either a fall image or fall stamp. Since I am not a stamper. So this is what I came up with.

challenge # 5

Ok, so now we are on challenge number 5. For this challenge we have to make a gift tag. I have decided to make a tag country looking. I used different fibers, ribbon and pattern paper with checkers on it.

If you have not been following the challenge just hop on over to
Have fun.

Challenge # 4

OK, so challenge #4 at cristinas blog is to make a card with the colors purple, orange and green. Fits perfect with this months holiday HALLOWEEN. My wedding day. Yes, I was married on Halloween day. SO here is my card. I am really taking these challenges serious. I have never done this before (first for me) and I am not a card. Two things against me, but I think I am doing a great job. Yes I am padding myself on the back. Hoep you like what I have come up with.

Challenge #3

OK, challenge #3 is to create a card for christmas. I made a christmas card for challenge #2 in pink, so this challenge I am making a chrsitmas card with a snowman. I used pastel blues, white and silver. I used my hole puncher for the 3 circles. His buttons are clear dew drops and the hat and face I drew myself. The snowflake is a diecut I had in my christams stash.

If you don't know about the challenges, hop on over to cristina's blog. She is doing a World Card Making Day event. Lots of videos, challenges and giveaways.

challenge #2

Challenge number#2 was created by Teri. She had us make something where the main color of the project would be pink. I decided to make a card for christmas with pink. My card is made with coordinations cardstock, dcwv pattern paper pack and the rhinestones are a pack from Joanns.

world card making day

Friday, October 1, 2010

Hello everyone,

I have just purchased a new matt for one of my scrapping stations. Of course it had to be pink and since this is the month for scrapping in pink I purchased this one from Joanns. I did use my 50% off coupon. I also purchased some adhesives that I needed.

I also received notice from HSN that my Cricut Imagine is on its way. Can't wait to get my hands on that baby and try it out. I have 30 days to either like it or dislike it. I will play with it for two weeks and see what happens.

If you don't know yet, Cristina from creations with cristina is having a Wrold Card making day tomorrow. It will begin at 10am and run until I think 5pm. She will have videos, challenge and giveaways every hour. Stop by and play along with her and others. Go to her blog.
