PINK phone

Can you believe I have a pink phone? My dear husband found it and immediately thought I would love it. OF course I did. I love it. It really works but because it is not a cordless phone I will just have it for displaying right next to my fireballs. Love those suckers.    I hope you all like it.

I will be back soon to show you my latest layout.

Some other news. I am taking a Donna Downey class this sunday.  Teri Beri will be with us and her daughter Kasi will also be joining us. Lots of fun this sunday meeting and creating with Donna. Can't wait.

Jean Pocket

Hello Bloggers,
Just wanted to share my latest project. I saw this on Martica's blog. You can go to marticadesigns.blogspot.com. She used a pocket from an old pair of jeans to make a denim pocket altered art piece. I liked it so much I told her that I would try making something using her idea. So I took an old pair of my husbands jeans and this is what I came up with. I decided to make it for Easter. I used lace ribbon, flowers, rhinestones, ric rac, felt eggs and then I paper pieced each chicken.

Here is a close up of the flowers and the lace around the pocket.
These are the felt eggs and the chicken that just hatched out of his egg.
This chicken is sticking out of the pocket. I used felt paper to make the chickens.

Hope you all like it. Try making one yourselves. It was alot of fun. It took me about 2 hours to complete because I debated which items to use.

Another layout & furniture

Here is the layout I just finished this afternoon. It is of easter with a boy and a girl.

 This is the boy side.
Here is the girl. I glued a bow to her pony tail and also glued lace to her basket.
This is egg is made with scraps of mine weaved. I fastened it to the layout with a brad so that you can move it and there is a matt underneath for journaling or another picture.
This is a close up of the tiny eggs hidden in the grass. The grass is cut with the Martha Stewarts scrissors.
This is the layout side by side.

Here is the piece of furniture. It has the same detail on top like the others that are in my room.
The furniture fits 70 cartridges. I still have 7 more slots to fill. I do have 21 of the solution cartridges but they are organized in a pink basket. I just have to buy the boxes for them.

Bunny Layout

well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful VALENTINE'S Day. I just got back from a little shopping spree. Not to bad. Placed an order at Joanns for some albums and also purchased some things I needed and wanted. I also went to Target and purchased things I wanted (not needed) and then headed on over to and Michael's and again purchased some things I wanted (not needed). LOL.

OK. Back to the real reason for my post. I wanted you all to see the new layout I just finished. I started it last week and for some reason was not happy with the way it was looking, but finally I finished it. Of course I started a new one this morning. Crazy, I know. But I can't stop creating layouts. I know I said that my New Years resolution was to scrap pictures but I just am not inspired to. I am keeping up with Donating Platelets every two weeks. I have so far donated 3 times since the beginning of the year and this friday I have another appointment. I was really happy to know that with the amount of Platelets I have that I am saving 3 childrens lives. I am really happy about that. Yes, I do get sick afterwards and have to be in bed the rest of the day nauseated and fatigue and the room is spinning, but that is OK, because it eventually goes away, but these sick children may never have their disease go away. So I will sacrifice every two weeks one day. I encourage all of you that have the ability to donate to do so. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you are saving lives.

OK, here are the pictures of the layout. I hope you all like it and please leave a comment of what you think.

This is the full 2 page layout.
This is an oval shape stencil I have that I decided to use to make the egg. The egg has lace glued around the top part of it.   I put a window and used another piece of lace to make it seem like a curtain. The door handle is a small button.

The bunny was drawn by me. I made my own pattern. I used some felt I had put away and had never used.

Here is a close up of the bunny. I used pink felt for her inner ears and for her feet. The pink felt on her feet is a heart I drew. She is holding 2 eggs I had cut and embellished last year.
This close up is of the buttons I used as flowers. I have a million buttons and decided to use some on this layout. I made the flowers with buttons then I glued a bow made of ribbon. The butterfly is actually a ribbon all made of butterflies. I cut some of them out and glued them randomly.
I cut the grass with the Martha Stewart scissors. They are wonderful to have.
More flowers I made with the buttons. The rick-rack ribbon I used as the stems I bought this saturday at a garage sale. Loved it and knew when I bought what I would use it for. The ribbon was my inspiration to help me finish the layout.

Here is a better photo of the flowers. I used my Ek Success scalloped punch for the two sheets across the bottom. Then I stickled the edges.

The basket I made by cutting strips of brown cardstock and then weaving them. I secured the edges with tape. I glued some eggs and the grass to the back of the basket. I made the handle with a hoola girl skirt from the dollar store. I took three pieces and braided them together. I topped it off with a bow.

Please leave a comment on what you think. Will be back soon with another layout.

Latest layout

Here is my latest creation. I paper pieced the little gril and the tulip house. When I started to piece the little girl together I had no clue how I would do this layout. I went on different websites, including ebay to get some inspiration. I finally saw a layout that had a tulip house and thought to myself what a cute idea. From their on I just ran with it. I love the soft colors yet bright ones the flowers on the bottom has. For the matts I used a sheet from an old stack I had from K & company. I  also used the remainder of the sheet to punch out more flowers. Each flower has stickles around it and for the centers I used the liquid pearls. I used pink, lilac, mint and a pale yellow. They look so cute. I used some stickers of dragon flies I had in my stash. I have been using alot of my older stuff I thought I would never use again. I am so glad I did not get rid of these things. You never know when you will need them.

This is what the two pages look like next to each other.
This is the little house I made for her. It is a tulip. See the door peep hole and the door knob, I used a large and small heart bling.
Her head band is made with small punched out flowers and pearls. I stickled the flowers.
I used string pearls for her dress and shoes. They are made with cardstock and then I glued fabric on top.
Her wand is made with a wooden stick. I glued fiber around it and then put some fiber to hand like a wand. Her wings are also made from card stock and then fabric. I stickled around the edges and glued some seeds to give it some color.

I love this layout. LOL. I love them all.   Please leave a comment telling me what you think.

Valentine Layout

Hello everyone,
I have finished this valentines day layout. I love the way it came out. I paper pieced the boy and girl. The boy and girl are holding a banner with the word love across. I then placed some hearts cut from the cricut in a heart shape form and put a string of beads around the heart shape.  I cut several flowers from the cricut cartridge sweethearts, chalked them and  placed some on top of scalloped circles. The hearts are felt from Joanns. I cut a corner piece also from the sweethearts cartridge and glued it to the top and bottom of the photo matts.   Behind the photo matt on the right hand side is a paper lace heart. I bought that at Target in the dollar section last year. The papers I used are BoBunny, and some others from my stash. The cardstock is from Joanns. Love their cardstock.

The flowers are cardstock and felt. The hearts are also felt. Both hearts and flowers are from Joanns.

Look at the heart in his back pocket. I cut a slit in his pants and stuck the bottom of the heart in his pocket.
Her dress is made of a vintage paper (from my old old stash, but the bottom is lace and so are her socks.

Look at her apron. She looks like a prairie girl.
Here is the whole layout. The banner connects in the middle and so do the hearts over them
I used a scalloped punch from EK success. Also from Joanns.
Hope you all like the layout and please leave a comment so that I can know what you think.
