Cupcake anyone

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend and are having a wonderful week so far. The weather here in Miami, Florida is so crappy. Since Sunday all it has done is rain, rain and MORE rain. YUCK. I know the plants need water and we need water to survive, but enough is enough.

OK, back to crafting. I have been busy with a cupcake mini I bought at the Cancer crops garage sale. I had started working on it last week and have finally finished it. I love this mini. I love them all, but this one is so yummy looking you may want to take a bite out of it.

Here it is.

This is the cover. I used glitter snow to make it seem like it was icing. I then added dew drops for the sprinkles. It has 3 tiny tags tucked under the ribbon. The spray is actually a head piece I took apart. I bought it at Joanns during the summer.

This is the last page. I used the feather trim Sharon from http://smscrapperdesigns.blogspot.com/, sent me. Thank you Sharon. I cut the trim to make the layers. In person it looks so yummy, you just want to eat it. LOL.
I used lots of flowers, trims and embellishments. There are enough matts for 46 photos. Yes, you have read right 46 pictures and journaling.

I hope you all like it and please leave a comment.

Christmas mini album

Hey guys. Now I know and I am convinced I am hooked on mini's. I can't seem to want to work on anything else but minis. I am having a great time creating them. I love how much I can embellish them, yet have enough room for photos.

This is another acrylic album with 9 pages.

This is the front cover. I bought this poinsettia at Joanns this past weekend, pulled it apart and glued it back to fit the cover. I also used some green glittered leaves that I bought last year after Christmas at Joanns.
Lots of charms. I glued with glossy accents a Santa Clause image on the back of the glass charm. My favorite are the angels I have been making, could not just add one but 2. Also added lots of fiber.

The stocking on the right page opens up and you could put some more photos or journaling. There are also 3 tags behing the sticking for more photos.
Aren't these doves the cutest? These are Jolee stickers. I really don't use stickers but these I bought last year after christmas at Michaels. I bought 2 of each because they were so pretty.
The flower on the left page I made with ribbon. All I did was fold back and forth the ribbon gluing it down in the center. I added a old looking bottom. Love this page. Well love all the pages.

These 2 pages are my favorite. The birds are rubons I also purchased last year from Michaels. I glued down some leaves and then added some tiny roses. The next page is actually like a book. Lots of space to place photos. The Christmas tree is popped up and then I added some gifts. I covered the page with some plastic to protect the gifts and ornaments from sticking to the flowers and leaves on the other page.
There are 3 photo matts in the pocket.
The back page I added a poinsettia and stickled the hole page.
I added a bow to hold the album together.

Well there it is, my Christmas mini. I hope you all like it and leave a comment letting me know which is your favorite page.

Yay for Halloween

Well guys, its almost here, HALLOWEEN. I love this holiday but not only because its Halloween, but because it is also my anniversary. Yes, I know what you are all thinking. How could I have gotten married on that day? Well, I love the holiday, so to be different, or just me I, well we, decided to just do it that day.

I wanted to share with you all my decorations around my home.  I have put it off , but now I can reveal my decorations. Hope you guys enjoy it and I can inspire you to decorate your homes.

The top 6 photos are in my living room.

I bought this rat and the roaches at the Dollar store. When I saw the rat I immediately knew I wanted to place him up on top of the wood trim. My husband drilled a really tiny hole through the rats foot and the wood trim and then put a small nail to hold it up there. Love the way it came out.

These pictures are of my dining room. I usually put a place setting with gooey things on the table, but this year I decided to change things up. The cake dish has 2 skulls that my husband cut off the tops and I put smaller skulls in the head and added some flies, roaches and painted them in red.

This is in my kitchen. Most of my witches are from either, TJ Maxx, Marshalls or Home Goods. Every year I buy 2 or 3 or as many as I find that I like.

The top 2 pictures are in the guest bathroom. I sewed the curtain using napkins. My sister worked at a party place and they were throwing away the samples and she thought I could use them. I used the ones that are halloween colors and the rest I have to make flowers with.
Here is what I did on my husbands office.

The top 9 pictures are my family room.
This is the only thing I put in my bedroom. A small witch boot tree with some ornaments hanging from it.

This is the scraproom. Here I added a small feather tree with some ornaments and a pumpkin doll on top of my boxes.

Hope you all enjoy the decorations and I have inspired you to take out yours and do the same.

Crop for Cancer

This weekend was great and wonderful. I attended a crop for Breast Cancer hosted by: Paula over at http://morethanfavors.blogspot.com/ and Mono over at http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/.

They had some amazing prizes and giveaways. I attended this event for the second time this year. Met some wonderful new people and saw some great creations. But most of all we all shared a great day full of laughs and creativity. The food was really good and the prizes were great. The garage sale, was great and I found some great goodies to be able to create with.

Here are some pictures that Carmen took. I forgot my camera. Bumber.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
