Great, Nope Wonderful

What a wonderful weekend I have had. Nothing big done but just nice and happy weekend. I could literally say my weekend was full of laughter and smiles. Happy times.

Though I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan (have been since I was a little girl), and sadden that they were not the ones who went to the Super Bowl, I am extremely happy that the New York Giants won. WOO HOO. Good for Eli Manning.

OK, on another note and the real reason for my posting today is that I have finished the Bib mini. I actually finished it last week on Thursday but had not posted it. I was waiting until today to do so. I had first seen this mini on Sharon's blog at http://smscrapperdesigns.blogspot.com/. Check out her blog and see her amazing creations. I knew when I saw it I had to have it. I guess I have to have them all. LOL. I did scraplift alot of her ideas. I thought she had some great pages and wanted them on mine. I have to be fair and give her the credit she well deserves.

Here is the mini:

The left page has a flap tied with the orange seam binding that opens for 2 photos. The right side has a couple of matts that slide out from behind the flower.
Here I have created a small booklet that opens for more photos. The right side I kept simple for only one photo.
 Close up of the booklet
I loved this left page. I guess I love the flower. Behind the lace are some photo matts. On the right side are 2 pockets which each hold 2 tags for photos and journaling.

This flower was off white and I glimmer misted using a brown and for some reason came out like a rustic color. Love the color. I added a piece of my lace scraps and glued it down to hold the matts for photos.
This last page I only added a flower. I have been hoardering these flowers that are made with like t-shrit material for years now. I finally had the courage to use them. I hoard alot of my things. But plan on changing this year and using what I have.
Love adding charms to my minis. I have a blue piece of tulle that is tied into a bow. And 2 strips of blue seam binding. Then this big chunky charm. The charm has 2 bobbles one pink and one clear, a chunky heart, a really cute girl and a pretty butterfly.

Well there it is. I hope you all like it. If any of you are interested in any of my albums, you may contact me for a price. I do not have an etsy store nor ebay store. I don't even have a pay pal account open, but we can work something out.

Thank for stopping by and hope you all have a wonderful Monday and rest of the week.

Tea Pot Mini

Good morning everyone.

I had seen this tea pot mini on http://cynthialoowho.blogspot.com/ and loved it. I called our local scrap store and was told that they had ordered the die but had not received it yet. I attended a friday night crop with 2 friends and saw the die. I immediately bought chipboard and cut it out. The only problem was that I had not taken any paper collections except what I was working on which were the elves. Luckily Peggy from http://icrea8cards.blogspot.com/, had taken some goodies to share with us. The paper line I used she had given to Paula from http://www.morethanfavors.blogspot.com/, but Paula gave it to me when she saw the mini cut out. She thought that it would look great with the tea pot. She was right. Thank you Ms. Paula and Ms. Peggy for sharing.  I started the mini last thursday when I met Peggy at the scrap store. I finished the mini on sunday. It took me 4 days to finish it on and off.

Here is the mini completed.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend.

valentines decorations

Well, I have finally taken pictures of some of the things I have put up around the house for valentine's.

I bought this canvas last year after the holidays. I went to Joann's and they had them at 80% off. I had to buy it. I knew it would be a great piece to hang from my front door. (I know my plant needs water). Poor  plants.
Here is the tree I was able to find after Christmas at Michaels. I wanted to get it to put up decorations for all year round holidays. So you will be seeing quite a bit of it. It used to be 39.99 but I bought it for 7.99. I did get 2 of them so that I could put them up in the girls rooms at christmas time.
The glass ornaments I bought at Micheal's after Christmas. For some reason they were not selling, I guess because they were hearts, but I found them and glad I bought them. I embellished them differently with some of my things in my scrap room. Perfect for valentines. But the best part was the price. They were originally for 3.99 and I got them at 80% off. So that means I bought all 4 boxes (6 in each) for 80 cents a box. Can't beat that.

These heart hanging decorations I have had for years now, but never posted since I did not have a blog at the time I made it. I lifted it from Keisha over at http://abiteast.typepad.com/abiteast/.  Check out her blog. She does beautiful work.
This one I made of my girls. I have these 2 pieces in my scrap room all year round.

This is all for now. I will be taking pictures of the mini I finished and posting on it.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Happy Thursday.

I'm sort of back

Hello everyone.

Here is the 4 page layout that I had been working on. I just finished it on Sunday, but had not had a chance to take pictures of it. This layout has been the layout from heck. It has 13 elves but not all 13 fit on the 4 pages.
I bought the patterns to the elves 1 year ago. I had to print them, cut them and then trace then on the color card stock I wanted. So that means I cut them twice each (26 total). But I enjoy cutting them by hand. Even though I am looking into the program that will cut them and the machine that will be best for the program. If anyone that reads my blog knows which machine and program is best please email me the info. I would really appreciate it.

Here is the layout:

I missed the buckle, but the bottom pictures show it.

I tried to make the box the elves are holding seem like a bin you store your ornaments in. I hope you all can see the same thing I did when I made it.

Here you can see all 4 pages side by side.

The only thing missing in the layout is the to add the stickles (frosted lace) to the elves hats and Santa's suit. But I ran out. I just ordered some and should be here within a couple of days.

I hope you all like it and leave a comment.

craft table

This i what my craft table has been looking like since this weekend. I went to the Paper Niche (my not really local scrapstore) on friday night with Paula from http://www.morethanfavors.blogspot.com/ and Peggy from http://icrea8cards.blogspot.com/ and only cut and put together 3 of the elves. When we got there I had already put together 7 of them. There are 13 total. At home on monday night I put one together while watching the Batchelor. It literally took me 45 minutes to cut and put together. I have finally finished all 13 but putting the layout is not what I want to do. My husband told me to put it away and start something different, but I know if I do that I will not go back to it. And I have so many cute things that I want to do with it.

Maybe this weekend I will get my mojo back and finish it. It will be a 4 page layout. I have a mini that I want to start but refuse to until I finish this that I have started.

I have only been in the mood to shop. I have been shopping online and at the stores since last week.
LOL.

Here is what my craft table looks like. I have not even cleaned it this week.
