valentines decorations

Well, I have finally taken pictures of some of the things I have put up around the house for valentine's.

I bought this canvas last year after the holidays. I went to Joann's and they had them at 80% off. I had to buy it. I knew it would be a great piece to hang from my front door. (I know my plant needs water). Poor  plants.
Here is the tree I was able to find after Christmas at Michaels. I wanted to get it to put up decorations for all year round holidays. So you will be seeing quite a bit of it. It used to be 39.99 but I bought it for 7.99. I did get 2 of them so that I could put them up in the girls rooms at christmas time.
The glass ornaments I bought at Micheal's after Christmas. For some reason they were not selling, I guess because they were hearts, but I found them and glad I bought them. I embellished them differently with some of my things in my scrap room. Perfect for valentines. But the best part was the price. They were originally for 3.99 and I got them at 80% off. So that means I bought all 4 boxes (6 in each) for 80 cents a box. Can't beat that.

These heart hanging decorations I have had for years now, but never posted since I did not have a blog at the time I made it. I lifted it from Keisha over at http://abiteast.typepad.com/abiteast/.  Check out her blog. She does beautiful work.
This one I made of my girls. I have these 2 pieces in my scrap room all year round.

This is all for now. I will be taking pictures of the mini I finished and posting on it.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Happy Thursday.

I'm sort of back

Hello everyone.

Here is the 4 page layout that I had been working on. I just finished it on Sunday, but had not had a chance to take pictures of it. This layout has been the layout from heck. It has 13 elves but not all 13 fit on the 4 pages.
I bought the patterns to the elves 1 year ago. I had to print them, cut them and then trace then on the color card stock I wanted. So that means I cut them twice each (26 total). But I enjoy cutting them by hand. Even though I am looking into the program that will cut them and the machine that will be best for the program. If anyone that reads my blog knows which machine and program is best please email me the info. I would really appreciate it.

Here is the layout:

I missed the buckle, but the bottom pictures show it.

I tried to make the box the elves are holding seem like a bin you store your ornaments in. I hope you all can see the same thing I did when I made it.

Here you can see all 4 pages side by side.

The only thing missing in the layout is the to add the stickles (frosted lace) to the elves hats and Santa's suit. But I ran out. I just ordered some and should be here within a couple of days.

I hope you all like it and leave a comment.

craft table

This i what my craft table has been looking like since this weekend. I went to the Paper Niche (my not really local scrapstore) on friday night with Paula from http://www.morethanfavors.blogspot.com/ and Peggy from http://icrea8cards.blogspot.com/ and only cut and put together 3 of the elves. When we got there I had already put together 7 of them. There are 13 total. At home on monday night I put one together while watching the Batchelor. It literally took me 45 minutes to cut and put together. I have finally finished all 13 but putting the layout is not what I want to do. My husband told me to put it away and start something different, but I know if I do that I will not go back to it. And I have so many cute things that I want to do with it.

Maybe this weekend I will get my mojo back and finish it. It will be a 4 page layout. I have a mini that I want to start but refuse to until I finish this that I have started.

I have only been in the mood to shop. I have been shopping online and at the stores since last week.
LOL.

Here is what my craft table looks like. I have not even cleaned it this week.

Our Golden Retriever

Good morning my blogging friends. I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday vacation so far. Are you all ready to ring in the New Year and say goodbye to the old. I am. Did you all notice the New Years Ball I have added to my blog. Isn't it cute?

Ok, what I am really blogging about is my sweet dog Roscoe. I am dedicating this post to him. We got Roscoe when my youngest daughter left to live with her Dad to finish High School and attend college in Orlando. I was so devastated since she was my baby. My husband whom had never had an animal in all his life decided to get my a puppy. My sister helped and we got Roscoe. He was 5 weeks old. When they gave him to us he had Parvo. A really serious illness they get and usually do not survive. He did, after a plasma and a blood transfusion. Four days later we brought him home. He is now 3 and a half and could not be a better dog. He is a golden orange red color and is gorgeous.

On Christmas day we gave him a bone.

Here is a picture of him at the door so that we could let him out. Whenever we give him a treat he goes towards the door so that he could eat it out side. He will not eat them in the house.

Here he has the gift and is trying to open it, but my husband had to help him since the bone comes wrapped. I gift wrapped it without taking the plastic seal off first.

he was such a happy boy with his bone. He chewed on it for about an hour and a half.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Christmas 2011

Well Christmas came and is now gone, but we still have the New Year celebration.  I hope you all had a great Christmas. This year we did not go to anyones home. My oldest daughter had to work so we cooked at home. Poor thing she worked until 11:30pm. Did not get home until midnight. She was so tired she took a shower and went straight to bed.
Here is our table set up for hubby and I to have our meal:

I was a nice girl this year so hubby spoiled me big time.

Here are some of the things I received:

 A Michael Kors purse.
Spellbinders grand calibur machine and 4 cutting dies.
Some booties from Steve Madden. Also a pair of black sandals.
2 more Pandora charms. I have 3 bracelets. The first one he bought me for Christmas last year. We started it on black friday and by Christmas day is was full. The second one I decided to make it of animals after seeing the birds nest in my back yard. I needed one more animal charm and got the Queen Bee. The third one now has 7 charms so far.
14 cricut cartridges. The other 2 are Chic n Scary and Nate's Abc's.

I was very content with all my gifts, but the best one of all was my husband, my daughter and Roscoe our Golden Retriever.

hubby opening one if his gifts. A bottle of Johnny Walker Blue label.
Here is my husband giving Roscoe his gift. A nice size juicy chicken flavored bone.

After sharing gift early in the morning, my daughter and I had a nice big breakfast. I had surprised her with a dress, a pair of shoes and some bracelets to wear. Thankfully, she loved everything and wore it all.  We went to my sisters house for a brunch. My mom wanted to spend the day with her kids and grandkids. We do this every year. We had such a great time. I took my camera and between all the exchanging of gifts, the food and just talking I forgot to take pictures. If my sister has any I will post them later.

I hope you all had as much of a nice time as I did. Quiet, peaceful and around loved ones.

Hope the New Year brings you lots of good health, happiness and love.

finished 100%

Hello bloggers.
I know that I showed you yesterday the white and gold layout. But, today it is finally 100% done. I went back it was completed (as you saw yesterday) and added alot of embellishments. You could never have enough. That's what I think. I do not really do simple.

Here it is.

Here is another stocking I made. This one I decided to make all ivory and gold.

Happy Thursday to you all. I am off today to hang out with some girlfriends and have a mini Christmas party.

White and Gold

I can't believe I made this layout. Two years ago I did this layout for someone that had ordered it. I hated it. I thought the white and gold was so ugly. I did make it in red and green and loved it. Well 2 years later here is the white and gold. Finally got to it and I like it alot. Not enough to teach the class but enough to create it.

 Before
 after all put together.

Tree pattern. I trace these pieces on a whole sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock. Then cut each one.
And end up with this.
This is the 2 page layout.
Here is Santa with his naughty or nice book next to the tree. I drew him after seeing a picture on the internet. Then I pieced him together.
Here are Santa's helpers the elves and the bear next to Santa's sack with the gifts. The elves are waiting for Santa's OK to leave the presents. There is a story behind every layout I create.
 Close up of the elves.

 Close up of Santa Clause.
Close up of the gifts. Each one is decorated differently.

Here is the red and green one that I did 2 years ago.

I hope you all like it.

Happy hump day.
