Reason for being MIA

Hello my blogging friends. I am so sorry for being so MIA for so long, but unfortunately my MOM passed away a month ago and it has been tough for us all. We are now busy keeping my father entertained and busy so that he does not go crazy like he says.

But the reason for my post is to show my home decorated for the Holidays. Although it was tough and my husband and I went back and forth on whether to decorate or not, we decided to when my Dad asked me if I was going to put the village up this year. I told him I had no intentions to and he asked why? I told him I just did not want to and he said but I should, so I did since we were all getting together here at my home for Thanksgiving.

I put 7 trees up this year, one in each room. Here are the decorations around my home. I could not post every picture since they would be too many, so here are quite a few.

 Scrap room tree

These are the only photos I have been able to post. For some reason they are telling me that I have used up all the space I have and can't upload anymore. If anyone knows how I can fix this, please let me know.

Thank you for visiting my blog and hope you all have a wonderful day. If I am not back this month, Have a Very Merry Christmas.

Roscoe's first Pumpkin Patch

We took Roscoe to the pumpkin patch this afternoon. Because he is not used to being around people (only myslef and Juan Carlos), he was too busy smelling everything and wanting to meet and greet others that we could not get him to sit still and take descent picture.

So here they are.

PUMPKIN PATCH

While out junking yesterday, we ran into a Pumpkin Patch and decided to stop and take some pictures. There were so many parents taking pictures of their little ones.

Here are a couple that my husband took of me.

These 2 tiny ones I am holding were the ones we bought. I know why not buy a large one and carve it, nope, I did not want to deal with the flies and smell after a while.

Our weather is nice now. Finally Sandy has gone bye bye and the rain and winds are gone.  This past week was horrible with the rain non stop for 3 days and the winds.  We are supposed to be having a cold front coming in this week Tuesday and Wednesday. I hope it stays for atleast a week or so.

Oh what fun

I am back from the Scrapbooking cruise. We have had so much fun and laughed so hard. I left on friday and got back monday morning. I scrapped all day every day until 2am. I finished 16 double page layouts that I took.

Here are some pictures I took of the crop room. Not everyone was in the room at the time because they went to the islands. I scrapped so much and was so busy that I only took these pictures the last day. I will have some photos once they are emailed to me by the store owner.

My partner at the cruise. She is Maria Del Carmen and is 76 years old. Her husband just passed 4 months ago and I invited her to come along with me. She is the sweetest lady.
Here is Nelly. I met her for the first time and she was so sweet and nice. Very down to earth. All the ladies were very sweet and welcoming. It was my first time and Maria Del Carmen's as well. They all knew each other from the store, but they welcomed us and made us feel at home immediately.
Behind Nelly in this picture is Rachel and her mom. I had so much fun with Rachel. We laughed so hard and had a great time. Our table was with 8 ladies and they were all super duper nice.
Here is Judy, hard at play. Concentrating on the project she was working on. Behind her is Jacky. Very sweet lady and very nice to us.

I want to Thank Rhonda from Scrapbookining Depot for inviting me and welcoming me and Maria Del Carmen as well. Loved everything and every moment we spent on the cruise. The space we had was amazingly large and no one bumping in to anyone. Great room we had and space. Overall it was a perfect crop and nice get away from the daily routine one has. I did miss my husband, so much that if I could have I would have swam home. But would not trade this trip for anything. If anyone of you live in Florida, you should consider to take this trip.

I am looking forward to next years crop again.

Halloween decorations

Hello my blogging friends. I am back with my Halloween decorations around my home. This year I am not going all out. I have many things that I did not bring out. I did not want the dining room to have the plate settings with the brains, livers and opens skulls this year. I just wanted to display my nicer things.

Here are the pictures of things around the house.

Enjoy:

 Kitchen area.
Love this Frankenstein. He was a great buy at a garage sale last year.

Notice the hand coming out of the box. Look at her bling on her finger.

Purchased this bird dressed up last year at cracker barrel.

Here is another one of the chains I bought on ebay. Super cute skeleton head.

The lantern here lights up. I bought this at a garage sale a few months ago for a full $2.00. It was brand new in the box. I actually opened the box.

This chair is in my husbands office. Actually, I call it the time out chair. When the American Express comes in I always get in trouble for charging so much. I agree with him every month that I am a shopaholic, but what woman isn't. LOL. Don't you just love the sexy pillow I bought for the chair?

Love this pins cushion I made last year. I made the stick pins this year. So much fun to make.
This is the configuration box I altered a couple of months ago. Notice the rat on the books. The owl has a light inside. My husband did that.
Notice the 2 chains hanging from his neck. I found them on ebay.
These are my new addition. I bought them at Tuesday Morning for 24.99 each. I love them. They are my favorite.
This is also a new witch. It was a gift from a scrappy friend.

Thank you all for stopping by and Happy Hauntings to you all. I mean that in a good way.
