LeBron leads Heat to second straight title

Well The Miami Heat has done it again. Second year in a row we are champions. Thank you Lebron for leading our team to victory once again. I am a very happy camper right now. Not only because our team has won again a championship but because I can now rest. My nerves have been up and down for the past few weeks. Last night was an unbelievable night. The game was basically tied the whole time, but we were able to slip away in the last minutes of the game and hold them from scoring.

Lebron is like a man of steal and continues to show his strength every time he comes out on the floor. He not only has this championship to celebrate but he also won MVP for the second year in a row. He now has won 2 NBA titles back to back and an Olympic gold medal in the last 12 months.
Congratulations to him and the whole Miami Heat team. Because after all it is a team effort.

MIAMI (AP) — Victory in Game 7 brought more than another crown for LeBron James and the Miami Heat. It validated the team and its leader, forever cementing their place among the NBA's greats.

I will be back sometime this weekend with 2 more layouts I just finished.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Happy Crafting.

5 layouts

I have a couple (five) layouts to share. I won't take credit for them because I did scraplift them. If you want to see where I lifted them from you could check out Bea's blog http://beatrizguzman58.blogspot.com/. She is amazing at making layouts. I bought the graphic 45 secret garden collection and browsing through her blog I found the 5 she created. I knew immediately I was going to try and scraplift hers. I did change some things since I did not have everything extra she added to the layouts.

Here is my take:

Hope you like them and leave a comment. Will definitely try blogging a little more now that I will be working on new layouts.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY .

The HEAT is ON

Well I don't mean the sun. I am not even talking about the weather. I am talking about the Miami Heat Basketball Team. They are on fire again. I think they may have this year won again. Atleast I hope so.

Because of this man, this team is smoking hot.

Lebron James seems to continue to amaze me with his physical ability. He gets better and better every time he comes out to play.

GO HEAT. Sorry Chicago Bulls, but you don't have a chance. We will hopefully be able to shut the Bulls up on wednesday night here in Miami and then have time to rest and practice for the next team.

Hope you all are having a wonderful monday and I will be back with some more layouts I have been adding pictures to.

I'm still here

Hello my blogging friends.

Sorry that I have been MIA for so long. Busy with house, husband, kids, dog and my Dad.

I have some projects and a layout to share.

Here they are.

This layout is of my 21 year old daughter. I can't believe how fast they grow up. In this picture she must have been 9 maybe.

This bird house is a stick pin holder. I am in a swap on YouTube and this is what I created for her. All 4 sides are covered with pattern paper. For the roofs I used 3 different rosette trims, the larger one was pink but I did soften it with white acrylic paint and the other 2 smaller ones I added glimmer mist in pink and then also added a little white acrylic paint.
I added this small sign and wrote Butterfly garden, the house has butterflies all around the 4 sides on the vines and flowers.
Here you will see some of the stick pins I added to the pin cushion.
I also altered this wooden box, to send to her with laces and some goodies to play with.

Here you will see the things and laces I included. The pink strips of trim on the top of the box are just glued with the hot glue on each end. She can easily pull out the laces when she goes to use them.

These are the other 1- stick pins I made for her. I am hoping she likes everything I am sending to her, plus I have some more goodies in the box ready to ship already.

Hope everyone has a great Monday and Happy Crafting.

My Dad and I

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far.

Here is my dad and I at breakfast the day of my birthday. I picked him up and my oldest daughter.

Here we are:

He was so serious. It was hard for him since my mom is the one that always took us to breakfast or lunch for our Birthdays. I am just glad that he agreed to celebrate with me.

Also wanted to share my new cropping bag. I bought it through HSN on National Scrapbooking Month. I was so excited when it came and can't way to take it to my first crop. Next Friday.

Roscoe decided to be in the picture and he was not shy. Isn't he the cutest?

Our weather here in South Florida is extremely windy and the weather man says there is a cold front coming through. It also seems like it is going to rain. I know we need the rain, but I dislike when it rains big time.

Happy crafting to everyone and I will be back with a couple of projects to share.

Martha Stewart punches

Good morning. Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

I have been struggling for about 2 years now on how to store my punches. Although I have watched several videos on youtube and read blogs, nothing seemed to convince me. Until I watched Laura's room tour and immediately knew that is how I wanted to store mine. Laura's channel on youtube is therobnlaura. If you watch her room tour you will see how she stores hers. I private messaged her and asked the dimensions of her frame. She was so sweet and immediately messaged me the measurements. I also had my husband watch the video several times.

Off we went to home depot looking for the metal ceiling tiles. They only had them on special order and of course on back order. I also wanted a wide frame. My husband brought from his job the frame and I was able to score on the metal tiles at Michaels, 50 cents each. Then we were on the hunt for the curtain rods. After 2 strikes at 2 different home depots my husband was able to find them at the one near his job.

One coat of spray paint by my husband is all it took but lots and lots of sanding by me. Here is what we were able to come up with.

This is the before the rods were added and punches. The tiles were a chocolate dark brown color, but after painting them and then sanding them down, this is what they look like now.

Here is the finished frame up in my room.

Hope you all like it. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Our weather is very weird lately here in Florida. Woke up this morning to 46 degrees. Just Sunday we had 89 degrees and today it is cold. Wish it would stay at 60 or 65 at all times, but we can't change mother nature.

Happy Birthday to ME (46)

Well it is a good day today. Forty-six years ago today my mother (RIP) gave birth to me. I am very happy because I will be going to breakfast with my dad and my oldest daughter, but also a sad day that my mom will not be calling to wish me a Happy Birthday and not be joining us. I am sure she will be with spiritually.

But the reason for the post is to show you the wonderful gifts I have received from 3 amazing ladies.

First up there is Sherry, her blog is http://createology.blogspot.com/. She made this beautiful tiny little salt and pepper shaker for me. It is filled with glitter and then she made these super cute stick pins for me. What a cute idea.

Then there is Wallie's gifts. She gave me this beautiful box for me to alter and 10 strands of beads to make more stick pins. You only see 5 strands because I have already started making stick pins with the other beads.

And then there is Evelyn's gift. She made me this amazingly beautiful tag, plus this sign for my candy station in my room. The pictures do it no justice. It is gorgeous. She even added some candy ornaments from Michaels when they had the Christmas stuff out. She does amazing work. The sign looks like it belongs in a real candy shop.

So there it is. These are some of the amazing gifts I have received from some amazing women. Thank you all so much for the gifts. I will treasure them forever.

Hope everyone has a great day.
