weekend

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I have had a great weekend. Lets start off with Friday. I went to a crop from 2pm to 2am. I had a great time with Peggy over at http://icrea8cards.blogspot.com/. Then Saturday morning at about 6am I was up after only 3 hours of sleep, to go to garage sales. I found this really nice lamp for my scrap room and a big bag of tiny key charms. I also found these 2 adorable heart shaped plates. There were some really nice things in some of the sales but not stuff that I needed or wanted. After garage sales we had some lunch and off to the nursery to buy some plants. Worked in the yard for about 4 hours. Then just relaxed at home. Sunday morning I left early in the morning to pick my mom up and my oldest daughter. We went to crackle barrel for breakfast. Then we went to the mall and bought a couple of things for the house. Spending time with my oldest daughter was very nice for a change. We have had lots of ups and downs and now we finally can be in a room, car and not get into a discussion for lack of better words. Since she is in school in the mornings and then she works at nights and weekends it is difficult to see her.
That was my weekend. I hope you all had a great one as well.

I leave you now with some of the pictures of what I bought and 2 layouts I did last night.

I made this flower by just cutting 1/2 inch strips of the same paper left over and folded them. Then I hot glued them in place and added a button to the center.

These layouts are not what I normally do, but as I was cooking the dogs food I was browsing through a magazine and really liked 2 layouts, so I decided to try it. I did change a couple of things but  did scrap lift the idea.

Happy Monday to everyone that stops by.

Sounds like you had an awesome weekend. How fun it all sounds oh how I wish we lived closer. I'd love to do all those fun things. Especially garage sales I can't wait until the weather gets better so I can too search for treasures. I'm totally drooling over all of those charms, such an awesome find. The lamp is gorgeous so shabby chic. I'm glad you had a great time with your daughter.
Your layouts are beautiful and what a great job on that wicked cool flower.

So nice to have spend an entire day of cropping... I can't wait to go to one. I'll probably be watching everyone work on their projects instead of doing anything... lol.

I LOVE THAT LAMP!! It is gorgeous. I haven't been a garage sale in years, it's time I wake up early and start going... I'd love to find some crafty items.

I'm so happy you had a great weekend. Mine was spent in bed. LOL.

I think Florida must have better garage sales. Those are some fine treasures you acquired. Sounds like you had the best of all weekend...saleing, lunching, planting, and family visiting. Your layouts are wonderful. Joyful week...

Hi Sweetie I couldn't find your email address so I'm going to answer the question you had asked about the flowers I made in the upper right hand corner of my so sweet card. The die cut is from Magnolia called doily flowers. Have a wonderful day my dear friend.

So happy you had a great weekend, but let me tell you, you are definitely a hard core shopper because getting up to go to garage sales after only 3 hours of sleep deserves an award! lol I would have been DEAD lol......So glad you found that awesome lamp though! It goes great in your room.
