Stick pins and more....

Hello blogger friends. I am finally back from vacation. So nice to get away and have fun and relax. We had such a great time. We were gone for 7 days and all 7 days were great. Will be back with pictures once I load them on to the computer.

I have been busy since my return with cleaning and organizing and just trying to get back to the routine. I wanted to post a couple of things. First off my new addiction. Yes I admit I am hooked and an addict. I am addicted to Garage Sales ( must do every saturday) and pin cushion and pins. I have made over 100 pins and still want to make more. What for I say, but just for fun? I love making them thanks to Marlene from http://www.uniquelyella.blogspot.com/, which taught me how to make them. I have also been watching videos on youtube on how to make the pin cushions and found one lady (can't remember her you tube channel) and she shows how she makes them. Marlene also showed me and since then I have made about 14.

Here are the pins and pin cushions I have made and also pictures of where I have been displaying them around the house.

This is how I am displaying them around my home. I have put them everywhere and enjoy looking at them all around.

The next 4 pictures are in my living room.

This is in my family room.

This is in my bedroom.

The next few pictures are the ones I have in my scraproom.

This skate I found at a garage sale and was an actual pin cushion. It is so cute I changed the cushion color and put pins in it.

The heart hanging is from Joanns. I found it on clearance for 97 cents. I put lace on it and some pearls bead trim and put pins on it.

Garage Sale findings. These few pictures will show what I have found in garage sales.

The bowl and the doilie under the clock are garage sale findings
This piece of furniture we bought at a garage sale the weekend before our vacation along with the chairs in the bottom picture.
These chairs are a his and hers chair. The fabric they have is a perfect match with the decor in my home. We also bought the lamp behind the chair.
This table along with the lamp and the angel frame stand are also garage sale findings.

I have enjoyed going to garage sales since I was basically born. My mom would go and drag the 5 kids with her and since then I am hooked. My husband is now hooked as well. You never know what you will find. I have not found much scrapbooking stuff but when I do I take advantage of it.

I will be back with my latest addition to my scraproom. As soon as it is done and in place I will post.

Hi! you left a question on my blog about the stamp I used, she is from Simply Betty Stamps! Thank you for visiting!

Ok, Ms. Ana, where do I start? First of all those pin cushions are just to die for. I love the little cajita one, gorgeous and the little skate is so one of a kind. I love how you’ve incorporated them into your house décor, why not? I think I’m going to try that too.
I know what you mean about the garage sale finds, but I don’t find the goodies you find. Those his and hers wing chairs are unbelievable, to think they’re garage sale finds.
What I love best about your style is that it’s elegant and homey at the same time and that can be a bit of a challenge to pull off. I can see all the love you put into your beautiful home. Keep on junking my friend!

More Than Favors

love these my Friend!!!! They look awesome!!!

Oh my dear where do I start. I LOVE the pin cushions; my favorite is the cajita and that unique one of a kind beautiful little skate. I totally love how you displayed them all over the house. What a great idea, why not? I’m going to have to try that too.
I know what you mean about garage sales. I love your gorgeous his and hers wing chairs, the fabric is so elegant. You have done an amazing job decoration your house. It’s not a simple task to pull a look of elegance and homey and you’ve done that so well. Love the new lamp too my friend. I really need to go junking with you!

Ok, I think it's safe to say that the pins have taken over you house!! They are really beautiful. I love the one in the skate. That is just amazing. As for your garage sale finds, you always find such amazing things at the garage sales you go to, I on the other hand, never find such great things. Love everything :) Mercy
