ribbon organization

Well two post in one day is not bad. I guess its true what my husband says, I have too much free time. I am a stay at home wife with no kids (because they are all gone) just a dog and husband to take care of. So with all the free time he claims I have, after cleaning 6 bedrooms, 3 baths, kitchen, living room dining room, family room and taking care of the plants which consist of pulling weeds and watering (takes me an hour and a half), I organize everything and anything. I love to organize. I am always looking for better ways to organize my home, especially the scrap room.

Here are a few pictures of what I have been working on. These cubes are the ones from Target. I used the dividers to color coordinate my ribbons. I only had 2 sets of dividers, went every where looking for them even ebay and had no luck. So my poor husband (again) came to the rescue and cut them out of wood for me.  Each row is for its color. I rolled each ribbon strip and put a tiny rubber band (the ones they use to make braids from the dollar store) around each one. I love the way they look and makes it so much easier to choose one. Just pull it out use what you want and then roll it back up and put it bak in its color slot.

I think this is one of my favorite ways to have organized my ribbons.

I love the way this has come out. I recommend this organization to anyone.

I am a stay at home mom without kids too. We have earned this time for ourselves. Relish it. I love organizing too. In fact, I never seem to run out of things to do. Our home is also large and there is always a project that needs finishing. I am switching out my closet from winter to summer right now. Wow. what a mess. :) Your ribbons look fantastic. I never would have thought to do it that way but it definitely works and then the right color is just so easy to find. Well done.
